If I take both in the same year consecutively, i.e. the class is Calculus AB/BC, would I be able to take both AP tests, or are they combined, or how is it done? I am confused. Thanksl.

i forget where i read it on the cb site but you're not allowed to take both the same year.

also, you get an AB subscore if you take the BC test and a lot of colleges offer credit for it as well.

So I just take BC and get a corresponding score for AB?

A subscore - yeah. You'll have two scores.

right, although i don't think EVERY college considers the AB subscore equivalent to an AB score.

When you do get a BC score, colleges probably won't even care much about your AB score since BC builds on AB. And the reason why you can't take both is that collegeboard uses some of the same questions on the AB and the BC test.

take the BC test, colleges wont give a sh it abt ur AB score. Since BC>AB

most consider the subscore equal to AB...so if you get a 2 on BC and a 4 on AB you can still get credit

The BC exam is, I think, 60% AB material.
