Bother applying to Brown with lack of ECs?

There's no way Brown (or any school) would check to make sure your EC's are accurate with thousands of applications to check. I'd say most stray away from exaggerating, however, because it's only a true accomplishment to get in if you know that it was genuinely you who got in, not what you exaggerated yourself to be.

asshat?
eh...yeah

chill, man. seriously. you'll fare better at school next year. most college students use high school as a transitional period after middle school to grow out of phrases like "asshat".

plus, you've been picking fights with all these people you barely know on an online forum. not only is that sad but... what are you like in person?

although, on admissions commitees, we do our best to screen for certain personality types, the reality is we're not always perfect. luckily, at brown there is room for everyone, including you, (although i can't guarantee a lot of friends)

Real world me =/= internet me

I'm more hostile online because it's easier for me to let out frustrations in text to people I don't know, since a lot of things in my hs **** me off but I can't let those frustrations out there. Not that I need to defend myself.

It's ok to exaggerate the number of hours you spend in each activity; don't list activities that you were never affiliated with though.
