Bottomfeeders bit it

[Bottomfeeders closes its doors in Tuscaloosa | al.com](http://www.al.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2012/07/bottomfeeders_closes_its_doors.html)

Somewhat of a shame- the food was fairly good. I’ll miss the place.

I noticed that. I think the problem was that the location was off the beaten-path that people use to find restaurants. If it were on The Strip, Downtown, or even on 15th, it probably would have done better.

Nooooo! i really liked their food, loved it whenever an organization had it at a meeting.

I’m not sure what you’re saying “no” to. The food may have been fine; I’ve never eaten there, so I don’t know firsthand.

Since the owners say that business has been dropping off for awhile, it sounds like people are heading to The Strip, Downtown, or Midtown Village-area for restaurants. All I was saying is that if the restaurant was located in one of those areas, it probably would have gotten more business.

It was more of an anguished “Noooo!” (think something like this [Instant No Button! Star Wars funnies FTW!](http://nooooooooooooooo.com/)) over losing another place to eat. Not denying your point, it’s completely valid.

That news absolutely ruined my DH’s weekend. That was his and S’s go-to place for breakfast, ever since it was recommended to them by a hotel person.

i’m confused by the article. is there one on Hackberry??

The one in Northport closed awhile back. The one on Hackberry by the Papa John’s Pizza is the location that recently closed. The Hackberry location was a quick walk from campus, but that entire area, while close to 15th street, is somewhat off the beaten path.
