anyone know when bowdoin will send out their acceptance letters? the website just says "for notificaion in april". is that like april 1st? 15th? 30th?

My records also only say "April."

Ya, I havent heard anything that gives a specific date, other than april (I'd assume mid to late april though). However, for myself, I'm not too worried because I already know the decision -- rejection.

how do you know that?!?! be an optimist, not a poophead :)

I'd consider myself neither optimist nor pessimist, rather a realist but thank you for trying to give me hope. I applied just because it really would be an ideal school for me -- location (I live 45mins from it) and academic wise. However I really did apply knowing my chances are slim to non. My HS stats suck and I'm applying for sophmore transfer, so I think that will hold me back too much. But theres always next year

"College will notify student of financial aid decisions on or about: 05-APR"

yeah but is that for regular decision?

Transfer Students

* College will notify student of transfer decision by: 01-MAY
* Transfer deadline for filing financial aid forms: 01-MAR

* Student must reply to financial aid decision by: 01-MAY or within 1 week(s) of notification

So yeah, it says by May 1. I didn't see that at first. I thought I had read one piece of info that said early April but who knows.

I posted this on the other thread but...

Did everyone else get the letter stating Bowdoin would be taking 5-10 transfers this year?

I dont know if I got that one, I did get two letters from them stating various other facts though. I knew it was around that number but to truly fathom the idea that they may only take 5 people; wow I wasted my time and money.

I didn't get that letter, when did you get it?...but I got 3 others about my application and stuff

I didn't actually apply but did express interest and received a letter awhile back saying they would be taking very few transfers this year (10-15 sounds about right) and even then could not guarantee housing.

it was one of the first letters I got, before the others :)

They will be mailing the week of April 23. I just asked them.
