<p>I did not send them any additional information. I have a 2150 SAT, 3.9 unweighted GPA, I’m the yearbook ed-in-chief, I’m in IB, I had really good recommendations, and my interview went well (30 minute overlap into the next one).</p>

<p>I live in Colorado, so if you live farther west, it might take a bit more time.</p>

<p>Good luck! I know how stressful it is to be deferred.</p>

<p>I’m going to send them a letter telling them that they’re still my first choice and hope that a spot opens up. But apparently Bowdoin isn’t need blind for wait-list students, which would be a problem.
Also the chances of getting off the waitlist are feeling infinitesimally small right now.

<p>cashew09: I agree. And now with this waitlist nonsense I’m holding on to some silly hope that maybe I’ll get off it, even though I know that waitlist acceptances at Bowdoin tend to be very rare.</p>

<p>Third waitlist and I’m a bit sad, as this was my first choice.</p>

<p>I read in a post from a few years ago that some people got their acceptance packages through FedEx? Is that the case this year? Still waiting for my decision :/</p>

<p>quieteyes and others waitlisted who want to hang in there: the Dean of Admissions said that this year they plan to draw from the Waitlist, so maybe it’ll be a better year for admits from the waitlist. Last year was a surprise, with more admits deciding to attend than expected based on past history. The first-year class was larger than desired, so this year there were a lot of deferrals in EDI apps and maybe RD admits are fewer so kids can come off the Waitlist. Best of luck to all of you. I’m sure you have terrific options if you decide not to wait or if Bowdoin doesn’t pan out.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if Bowdoin still guarantees to meet the full need of waitlisted students if they get in? I know they’re not need-blind for waitlist kids anymore, though, unfortunately.</p>

<p>Are any of you on the waitlist planning on doing anything more than writing Bowdoin a letter that would spell out your desire to come to the school? I’ve heard that doing more than that tends to bug the admissions offices… but I don’t know. Also, what is the latest that Bowdoin would tell you if you were admitted off of the waitlist? Does anyone know? I’ve heard late June-early July but July seems a little ridiculous to me</p>

<p>In the past, Bowdoin has worked pretty systematically and quickly through the wait list, starting in early May and finishing in late May. There could be a stray spot that opens up later as each wait list move causes a ripple effect but the bulk of the wait list decisions will be made reasonably quickly.</p>
