@Bappy1, thank you for posting that :)

More than likely applying ED! Best of luck to you all :)

Trying to decide between Bowdoin and Williams for ED. 2210 SAT and 33 ACT (hoping to improve to 2300 and 34/35 in fall) but a less than impressive 3.4 UW GPA at highly competitive public school with rigorous course load. My ED decision will probably come down to my pre-reads and recruiting at each school (shot put and discus). I’m chancing myself at about 50/50 for an ED acceptance at both schools without the recruiting factor, so whether a coach will protect me in admissions is important. Looking forward to seeing how everything plays out.

Not gonna lie, it’ll be hard getting into either with a 3.4 but obviously they are more lenient with athletes. The track coach is amazing, I’m on the varsity team.

How is the swim coach at Bowdoin? Swimmers?

I will find out and let you know if you remind me!

The swim coach is very technologically adept. He uses video to great effect to let the swimmers see what they are doing and how they can improve. I just met him once, but that’s what stood out.

I will be applying ED to Bowdoin! After my first visit i was sold!

YAY good luck @student101297

I’m applying ED to Williams, but there’s a very good chance I’ll get rejected so if that happens I’ll definitely apply to Bowdoin.

@xc2013, bowdoin has a lower acceptance rate than williams. good luck!

Bowdoin is my top choice as well!

I might go in for RD or ED. I’m still trying to decide. I’m sort of waiting to get my SAT scores before I decide the college I want to apply to. I’ll be giving my SAT in 5 days so >< Hopefully things work out well.

I’m applying for ED I in a few days. Super nervous and excited at the same time. I’m excited to talk to other prospectives! I made an account just to respond to this thread haha

Applied today. So begins the wait!

Applied ED as well!
Good luck to everyone! I’d compare stats but I think that would cause unnecessary stress (I don’t really wanna see how overqualified everyone else is )

Best of luck to all ED applicants! I applied somewhere else ED, but I really do love Bowdoin. I hope I won’t have to send in an app and compete against those of you applying RD :P

just applied yesterday! super exciting

good luck! - a Bowdoin freshman

I just applied ED a few days ago! Good luck everyone!
