Hi I know Bowdoin’s unweighted GPA is a 3.9 but does anyone know the range for their unweighted GPA? I don’t have a 3.9 but if I’m in their range I may consider applying to Bowdoin next year.
Have you looked at the little scatterplots for other students from your high school? Have you run the NPC or are you fine being full pay?
I did look at the scatterplot for my daughter’s high school for Bowdoin. Admission looked quite unpredictable, with students being turned down with 4.0 unweighted GPAs while one was accepted with an unweighted 3.5 GPA. From what I saw it looked like a GPA slightly below 3.9 does not preclude your being accepted, but you should think of it as a reach.
In our case the NPC was not encouraging.
I got in with a 3.65 UW so it’s really not about GPA
@oldchief78 email me at alin@bowdoin.edu, I ended up finding out that my Dual Credit classes did not end up being not-included in my GPA so I had a 3.65
What were some of your other statistics (SAT, ACT) or extracurriculars that you think helped you get into Bowdoin?
