How do you guys get the applications ?

omg i got in!!! anyone else?

me too. i’m super excited bowdoin is one of my top schools.

i just got in too…

me too! Where are you guys from? I’m heading out from Los Angeles…

Yay! I got in too! I’m so excited since Bowdoin is also one of my top schools.
chjero, I’ll be heading out from LA too!!
I’m from the OC but probably gonna use LAX and not John Wayne.
Looking forward to going and seeing you guys.

How did you guys get the application ? If I don’t get the application, does it mean my chance of getting in is really low ?

To nns91:
To quote from the acceptance email: “Naturally, this trip does not guarantee admission to the college, but over the past few years many talented students have decided to apply to Bowdoin following their Invitational experience.” The invitational is open to “talented students from around the country who can contribute to Bowdoin College’s diversity.”
The application is found at http://www.bowdoin.edu/admissions/forms/invitational/index.shtml</a>. However, it is now closed. I heard about it through an email from Bowdoin and from my college counselor.

That’s cool 10isg1rl! Maybe we’ll be on the same flight or something. Haha.

I’m from the big TX! bowdoin is one of my top schools too! This will be a true test of whether or not I can handle the cold! lol

Hear hear!!
It’ll be interesting to experience the weather there, coming from warm/hot places :D

p.s. Does anybody know when we’re leaving on Thursday? Or rather, what time we will be arriving at Bowdoin? The e-mail didn’t say anything about that. Any thoughts?

I guess that we won’t know until we get our itineraries. The email said that we would get those one week before the trip. I’m assuming we will depart on Wednesday or Thursday, most likely Thursday.

Are you guys packing to wear multiple layers? The lows around this time last year were in the high 20s-low 30s.

oh yeah, sweaters, long sleeves, and coats for me!

Ah, i see. Thanks chjero.
High 20s-low 30s???
OMG! Yep. I agree with soccer_girl4life: sweaters, long sleeves, and puffy winter coats
Long johns maybe?
It’d be awesome if it snowed even though it’s a bit early.

well, you know its snowing early everywhere… maybe we’ll get lucky and get to see the white stuff

Snow would be nice! A friend and current student at Bowdoin told me that they are in their “rainy” season. So I guess snow is not completely impossible…

Do you guys know the policy on locked checked-bags?

Beats me. I really don’t fly much at all…
