I am a mom who has flown alot and wanted to let you know that I have never locked my bags when I’ve checked them. I think you can only lock them with a kind of lock that airport security can open.

In any case, DON’T put anything of special value in checked baggage, and don’t put medicine or anything irreplaceable in the event that your bags get lost.

When is this trip? It may be too early for snow, but then again who knows…

also do you know about the liquids rule? In your carry-on bag, you are only allowed liquids of 3 ounces or less, and only whatever can fit in one ziploc quart size bag. There are no restrictions in checked luggage.

Have a great time! My son is probably applying to Bowdoin.

quick question: i applied, but totally forgot that i can’t go due to the act. is there going to be an alternate visit, or is that it for me?
if so, i’m really sad because I can’t visit otherwise.

Thanks 10isg1rl and SDonCC for the travel tips.

SDonCC:
The trip is from October 22-25.

yos:
Did you get an acceptance letter and/or email? Mr. Moore said that those with the ACT on Saturday should still apply to the trip. If selected, Bowdoin should be able to shift things around. If you were selected, then it would be in your best interest to contact Mr. Elmer Moore. Hope things turn out well for you!

highly unlikely that you’ll have snow, but you never know! The leaves will probably be off the trees by then, which is too bad, but maybe they’ll be still on but past the color prime. If you go to Bowdoin, that is another thing to look forward to – New England fall foliage!

Im such a durf. I told them I was taking the Oct 24th ACT test date, that’s why I didn’t hear anything; they pulled me out of consideration. So for everyone else taking the oct 24th act test date too, does that mean we don’t get to visit the campus? or is it at a later date?
