Hi, Can anyone who interviewed recently at Bowdoin on campus describe what it is like? We’ve heard from a friend that his interview was very quick (<30 min) and I read a post here on CC stating same thing. So, what was your experience like … how long was it? what questions were asked? did interview do a good job of leading the discussion? Thanks!
I did my interview on the Explore Bowdoin program. The lady worked in the fin aid office and she was super nice. It was very casual, and the interview actually took place in the Ashby House. She sent me a letter last week, actually, to see how I was doing (I interviewed about a month ago). If anything I think that says more about the character of Bowdoin than how well my interview went. It was less conversation-y than my other interviews, and it was about 45 min long. Very generic questions (any struggles Ive faced, fav EC, etc.)
Just want to report back on Bowdoin interview for anyone who’s interested. The interview was conducted by a current senior. Judging by the students I saw walking into and out of their interviews, they were anywhere from 20-30 minutes. My D’s interviewer had a list of questions off of which she read - all standard stuff (why Bowdoin, what do you like to do on weekends, etc). It wasn’t a particularly dynamic conversation, but not really bad either.
