The Press Release

This is great news for current and future Bowdoin students. There is no question that significant student loan debt negatively impacts so many college grads. Thank you Bowdoin!

This is huge. I'm from Maine and it was all over the local/state news on the day it was announced. Go Bowdoin :)

you guys can thank me later, since i have been pushing for this to happen at various schools :)

Colby just announced they will eliminate loans from all financial aid packages beginning this fall for all new and returning students

Will Bates follow?

the reason i am bumping this is because i want to know whether Bowdoin meets 100% of need for US citizens

Wouldn't it be just as easy to spend 15 seconds looking at the Bowdoin website: http://www.bowdoin.edu/studentaid/

"For the past decade, Bowdoin has been "need-blind" in its selection of first-year candidates. The College customarily budgets enough grant aid to meet the full calculated need of all enrolling students without using financial need as a criterion in the selection process. Need-blind admission is practiced at only three dozen colleges and universities in the U.S."
