Hello -
My daughter is an ED II applicant to Bowdoin. Today she received a notice that they have yet to receive her midyear transcript (we were aware; guidance counselor will supply them with this first thing tomorrow.) They also indicated that they’d not received the optional video response submission. My daughter had been under the impression that it was not necessary to send the video submission if the applicant had had an interview with a Bowdoin representative — is this not the case? She did participate in an interview last summer, during a visit to the college. Wondering how other applicants have approached this. Is it not truly optional? TIA and wishing good luck to everyone still waiting to hear from Bowdoin!
If she had a solid face-to-face interview at Bowdoin, I would skip the video thing - she’s interviewed. It’s like sending 1600 SAT and then sending 35 or 36 ACTs… testing point made (well, at Bowdoin optional testing point made).
Thanks very much for responding, @2019RuralMe — you make a great point!
