Bowdoin vs. Bates vs. Colby

Colby 07 Have you been to that crazy thai restaurant on Kennedy drive in the renovated fast food restautant that is like a Thai version of "Grease"? I thought it was pretty cool and weird in that time warp way. I never thought there were all those thai rock and rollers in the 50's but why not? and the food was also really good....I just got back from my summer in Maine and I'm a little panged that I'm not going back to Maine till next summer.

The restaurant your talking about is Pad Thai, and I've definitely been there many times. The location with the crazy 50s diner stuff on the walls is actually new from last year; my freshman year they had a tiny restaurant closer to downtown but opened up the one closer to campus because of student demand. The best part is that Pad Thai (as good as it is) isn't even the best Thai food in the area, Asian Cafe in nearby Winslow makes the best thai curries I've ever had (and has delivery to campus).

Spiker, please don't take offense but Bowdoin is in Brunswick not New Brunswick. And Lewiston is surrounded by hills so the fact that Bates is on one of them is of little consequence, especially since it is not isolated in any way.

BRAC voted to close BNAS today. The impact on Brunswick and the surrounding communities will be huge. It's pretty sad and scary around here right now.

oh yeah sorry about the New Brunswick thing ....I'm truly sorry about the base closing ...the base also gave the city a more diverse population.
