Bowdoin vs. Middlebury for Economics (and Math)

Ok, so I have narrowed my list of acceptances down to these two schools. I plan on majoring in econ, with a possible additional major in math, and I was wondering if one is known to be superior than the other in these majors (primarily econ).

As of now I am planning on going into finance after college, and so if one has better job placement specifically with finance/other economics-related careers, that would be helpful information. Thank you!

Middlebury would be top-notch for economics:

In math, I’d give the edge to Bowdoin though.

Middlebury ranks in the top 20 of all schools, not just LACs, for Investment Banking according to LinkedIn. They are the third highest ranked LAC for IB placement, behind only Amherst and Wellesley.

You’d do perfectly fine at either school. Both are well regarded and well known. Go where you feel more comfortable.

I like both schools. I’d give an edge to Bowdoin on location and Middlebury for campus beauty. The student bodies are quite similar.
