<p>I was wondering if any current students are interested in starting up a boxing club?</p>
<p>My son is not an athlete, but he has an interest in taking up boxing. He will be a freshman this Fall.</p>

<p>I would guess that students could get together and get some funding like every other student organization can, the majority of expenses would likely fall on the students’ shoulders, however. There are club sports in many other activities. Students would have to figure out a facility to use, any insurance, equipment costs, etc. Check with the student union organization for what would be involved- see their website to find details on what steps would need to be taken. Interested students could also try to find an off campus group to join.</p>

<p>I’m surprised there is not one given the UW history in the sport. I’m sure there are other schools with club teams to fight with.</p>
