So… I tried the whole significant other thing everyone seems to make a big deal about and it wasnt for me. So i am now single and enjoying the freedom that comes with it.

Plus relationships at our age are a bit pointless in my opinion.

Nope, kind of wish I did :-/. Limited options though, and I’m happy with all my friends.

Well I’ve been asked out before, but I turned them down. Right now, I’d rather focus on my studies than date a guy I don’t truly like.

I had a boyfriend for a hear as a sophomore, and I’ve since been asked out a couple times, but both by guys who I didn’t really like as more than a friend or really at all.
I’m not opposed to having a boyfriend, but I’m not really looking mostly because I’m so busy and don’t mind waiting until I have all my important stuff sorted out.

Haven’t had a girlfriend since 8th grade…could have had one freshman, sophomore, and Junior year if I wanted but it wouldn’t work out.

Not to mention, women are expensive.

I find high school relationships for the most part, pointless. Unless I find a girl that I know I will enjoy company with, I’ll stay a part of the Forever Alone Club.

I currently have a girlfriend… 5 months now, though I’ve known her since I was 7.

:)

17, with a lovely boyfriend of 8 months and no intentions of changing that

I do agree that having a significant other while maintaining your academic life is more work but i believe its worth it if your worth the right person…with that said i been with my current girlfriend for 4 months now & she is extremely supportive of my work.

Live for today, plan for tomorrow.

Awwww…this thread is sooooooo sweeeeeet.

I don’t quite understand the reasoning of getting into serious relationships at such a young age. When you start falling asleep on the couch on Friday/Saturday nights, that’s when you should consider the serious relationship.

…and that SHOULD be after some blown paychecks, some international travels and after all of those social festivals and other things…preferably around age 30.

Yep, I’ve been with my girlfriend for a little over a year now. Quite a challenge balancing schoolwork, band, and spending time with her, but it’s all worth it.

No, I wish I had a boyfriend. But either I’m forever alone or none of the boys in my high school are my type. However there is one perfect boy on my mind…;)

Well I’ve never met a guy I’ve liked enough. Besides, I’m just now old enough to drive so…
And it’s definitely not cute when your parents drive you to your first date.

Nope, never had a girlfriend, I’m not sure why. I’m definitely not antisocial (I won Homecoming Prince one year), but girls see me as a friend. I got turned down for Prom last year… maybe I’m ugly lol

never had a bf, Wish I did, too bad. Probably no prom date either. =(

I get hit on a lot… really cute guys too. I just would rather have a fling than get serious. A relationship takes a lot of putting attention off of yourself and onto another.

Had a girlfriend this year, broke up 2 months ago.

But hey, I have so much free time now.

I’ll admit, I’ve had a fling for about 8 months now.

Just recently 2 of the guy’s good friends started flirting with me and trying to be really cute with me. No guys have ever hit on me (besides random strangers) before until now.

It’s a bit strange to me…

It’s amazing how few people just, you know, casually date. Maybe one girl or guy gets most of your attention, but why so quick to put a label on it? If it’ll last, it’ll last. Youth is a time to see what one likes in a relationship, so that when commitment comes, it lasts. It seems like I’m surrounded by a sea of committed relationships, singles, and one-night stands.
