<p>blairt, AESD (with the exception of st paul which has average SSAT at 88%) all have mid-90% SSAT average, even hotchkiss pulled a 93% average last year.. the few %s might sound insignificant, but think about the numbers of legacies and wealthy heirs at these schools with SSATs of 60% or so pulling down the average, Georgetown Prep is by no means close with its 90% average.....</p>
<p>also, Gtown prep has average SAT 1350.. all the top 8s have SAT average around 1400..
comparing endownment, with all these schools of around 400million or more, georgetown prep is left in the dust.....</p>
<p>comparing opportunities, internship and alum connection, georgetown prep is nowhere close..sry...i dun know how much opportunities your grandfather offers to his alma mater, but here at hotchkiss, the most famous alums include, Ford (Cars), Mars(our beloved M&M), Thorton (former CEO of goldman sachs) Chrysler, Son of Thomas edison, Werner(owner of red sox), Griswold (president of yale), Dow (Dow chemical), 45 current or former ambassadors, numerous governors and a couple nobel prize winners...these kind of connections are unmatched..GTP doessnt even come close in this sense...and yes..most of their kids are still here...ford's, Mar's granddaughter, John Thorton's son(he's a frosh) and so on.....</p>
