Boy's State

Thanks for your input everybody. I went ahead and told my guidance counselor I'd like to attend, I'm turning in my application tomorrow. I also found out from my dad attended NY Boy's State when he was a kid. The info I got said I'm assigned a city, county, and party when I arrive. I'm going to pray I'm not assigned to the democratic party (no offense to anyone). The meeting with my BGO went very well, I am now sure I'm going to retake the SAT, since immproving my english score would have the most effect on my whole persona ssessment number.

My BGO recommended that I look into the representative at my dad's military home of residency because around there in NY there would be less competition from the rep. than around here, because of military bases. I have a few phone calls to make in the next few days. I wish I could apply for nominations in NY and NC though.

i don't think your party is going to be "republican" or "democratic". my boyfriend went to boy's state and his was the "nationalist" party. so don't fret, you won't have to be affiliated with the democrats in any way.

i'm being slightly sarcastic here.

Haha. Well, I'm looking forward to it, whichever party I get.

I shot my BGO an email, it turns out I won't be able to apply for the nom's in NY because my dad's official retirement date is August 1, then the residency goes to NC.
