<p>Poetgrl, I did the same thing with my girls. We did role playing and talked through all sorts of scenarios. I also told them something I believe with my whole heart, which is that there are some situations for which no good outcome is possible and they must be avoided at all costs. Being drunk enough to have impaired judgment is one of those. Being alone with strange men in a setting where your intentions could be misconstrued is another. I’m not blaming the victim, either. They have the right to be drunk and stupid and they have the right to be around men they don’t know, but having the right to do something doesn’t make it safe and these are not principles worth dying or being injured for.</p>
