Brace Yourselves

Rejections are coming.

Rejected.

rejected

Rejected.

It doesn’t matter. Achievement isn’t measured by the college one goes to.

And think about it: If you don’t go to an elite college you won’t be competing with top students, thus freeing you from the sort of mental anguish which can result in depression. Perhaps it’s better to float through a middlebrow college and graduate summa cum laude than graduate near the bottom of your class at a top tier one.

You have ~50 years of life left. Don’t let something as trifling as a college rejection hold you back.

has anybody even been accepted?

my d was accepted ED II to Vassar, class of 2019. We found out today. She was rejected from her ED I school, pulled herself together to put together an amazing application for Vassar. She is thrilled to be going there. These things do work out!

Yup

I just got my acceptance! Even so, condolences to you guys, and know that this is definitely not the end of the road. I’m sure you guys will get in somewhere amazing and do brilliant things. Good luck!

I was deferred, but I’m actually very happy about it. My midyear grades are not going to be good, though, so no hope for an acceptance. Got into UNC, though
