A bracer (or arm-guard) is a strap or sheath, commonly made of leather, stone, or plastic that covers the inside of an archer’s arm to protect it while shooting.

Braces. Thanks, smartass.

You shouldn’t care about what other people think of you. But guys might feel weird kissing you so think about that.

I’ve always thought it was weird for people over the age of 12 to have them, but if you’re concerned about your teeth that much, then go ahead.

There’s the invisalign option, but those things are pretty expensive.

If you have the opportunity to get braces, GET THEM. If you don’t, you’ll regret it when you’re older. I know plenty of people in their 50’s who are self-conscious about their crooked teeth and wish they had them straightened when they were younger.

I wouldn’t get the normal silver braces. Perhaps invisalign? Also, they have braces where they place the brackets behind your teeth so they don’t show. Porcelain (clear/white) braces are also another alternative. Good luck!

I think getting Invisialign would be a good idea, like you mentioned.
However (and to contradict myself a bit), you shouldn’t be choosing this based on what others may think.

Get braces.

Not getting your teeth fixed now can have serious consequences (not just aesthetic) later on down the road. My mom grinds her teeth at night and is wearing her teeth down because she never got braces. That particular problem even causes tooth loss sometimes.

You’ll have them maybe 3 years and then never have to think about it again.
I love that my parents forced me through braces, because I get lots of compliments now on what a pretty smile I have.

I’m 17 and I just got braces 2 weeks ago.
You can get Invisalign (completely invisable) or Ceramic brackets (brackets are invisable all you can see is a thin wire going across your teeth), some places even offer the ones that go inside of your teeth.

I get mine off sometime during Summer 2011, I got the metal kind but they are so much smaller and lighter unlike the older metal ones. I forget I’m wearing them they are that small and lightweight, of course the first 2 days were a bit rough but after that I seriously forget I’m wearing them.

Good luck! :)

Thanks guys. I’m getting them!
