So this is kind of an odd question. I have braces, had them for one year and a half coz my teeth have a mind of their own, and I got into an American college. I am Albanian. I was wondering, how can I take care of them now? The ortho does something with the wires every two weeks or so, and I am sure I can't do it myself. Can I transfer my chart or something? Would an American dentist take care of the braces?

Thanks for the help.

You could probably transfer your records. However, a very cost effective way to handle it would be to go to a college that has a dental school nearby and you could go there for the rest of your treatment. Lots of young people in this country have braces, so it should be easy for you to continue the care. Good luck.

I don’t think my college has a dental school nearby, but thank you for the idea anyways.

You might post on the college where you will attend thread. From your original post, it was not clear that you knew where you were headed in the fall.

Try calling the orthodontic offices near your future college and just to see what they say. They will probably be very willing to help you and may have even dealt with similar situations before due to being located near a college with new people coming there and such. You shouldn’t have a problem :)

Thanks to the both of you. I forgot to say the college is Williams College.
