Braces in College

I wore braces twice when I was a kid, yet somehow, my overbite has returned in massive proportions. Since I'm going to college soon, I was thinking that I could get braces then (the traditional metal brackets, I'm sure). I'm not worried about what others will think of me. However, I am curious about how big a hassle it is to get a ride from campus to the orthodontist's office every few weeks for adjustments, especially since I can't have a car on campus. Does anyone have any insight/experience on orthodontic treatment whilst enrolled in college?
Thanks so much.

Not the same but I’ve had physical therapy since the fall for two separate injuries (2-3 appointments a week and doctor follow ups) so the frequent medical visits I understand. It was irritating having to take all of that time out of my schedule but fortunately the bus went near their office so it wasn’t as bad. I just made sure I took things to do like flashcards to study or articles I needed to read, notes to go over. Really anything that was easy to carry and would be easy to do until I got on or off of the bus. It’s definitely doable to have orthodontist appointments if you can take a bus or if its close enough to walk or bike

Are you a candidate for Invisalign?

I am not a candidate for Invisilgine, which really doesn’t bother me too much. Like I said, I’ve had already had braces twice, and the traditional metal is what I’m accustomed to. I considered the ceramic brackets for a bit, but since metal is less expensive and this is my third time in braces, I really need to go the cheapest route. But since I’ll be in college, I’m concerned I won’t be able to get to orthdontist appointments to have my braces tightened.
