Brad Paisley at USNA

Last night provided a great treat for country music fans at USNA. Brad Paisley played an awesome concert in Alumni Hall. Having seen him play a number of concerts before, this one was truly special. The venue was much smaller than his typical concert venue. Both Brad and members of his band indicated their appreciation on numerous occasions to the crowd of mostly Midshipmen for their service to their country. The Midshipmen were quite thrilled with Paisley's incredible guitar solos, something that is not really featured as much on his CDs. See what you have to look forward to at USNA!

How were tickets sold, distributed? sounds like it was a fun eve...

Tickets are sold to all Midshipmen thru the MWF. They were allowed to by a ticket for themselves and one guest ticket for the floor area. They could also purchase other tickets for other seating areas. On a specific date ticket sales for the concert is opened to the public. They even had contests for the Brigade to get backstage passes. Look for videos on line of the competitions.

My son went and saw him last night. He said it was awesome. He went to workout yesterday and Brad Paisley was working out right next to him. He was told by the bodyguards not to bother him working out. Pretty cool!

Bard felt like he needed bodyguards to protect him from Midshipment? Seems a little strange to me

Oh man this was such an awesome concert. Because Alumni was so small it felt really special. He was amazing and those guitar solos were awesome! I had a bunch of friends go down to the gym to look at him. He had the body guard because he was trying to get a work out in and he didn't want 4000 people coming and asking for his autograph. But this concert was awesome and totally worth the 10 bucks we paid to get in.

is this a one time thing or do bands/artists come to Navy other times of the year? im sad i missed out on this one by a year.

No scubaguy. They never have any other concerts or events. EVER.
