Bradley Engineering?

Hey guys, I jut wanted to know if you guys knew anything about the engineering school at Bradley University in IL? I just got in and I am excited, but everytime I tell someone about the school, they say they never heard of it (I am from Boston). But anyways, if you know anything about the school whether its about the workload, career center or etc, please tell me!!!!

All I know is they sent me a ton of stuff to go there b/c im from around there. Its a good solid school and respecting in the surronding region.

Have you been to the campus?

Bradley is a very good choice for an engineering major, particularly civil engineering and construction management. It has a stellar reputation in the midwest - DW mentions to cowworkers the schools DS is considering, and the CEs light up when she mentions Bradley (even more than Northwestern). No problem finding employment with a degree from there, particularly if you stay in the midwest (can't say for the east coast). You would be dealing with the vast majority of students being from Illinois, as it doesn't draw from a wide pool. What's interesting is that perhaps the top-rated CE school in the nation is UIUC a bit further down state, but Bradley's reputation for undergraduate education isn't far behind. Not the place I'd recommend for most grad work, though.

Still solid for other engineering disciplines, but you can find many comparable or better schools of engineering elsewhere. Really, you'd have to visit to see if it feels right to you. DS and I were impressed - probably the second best visit out of a dozen or so we took throughout midwest and mid-atlantic schools. Financially, a good value, too. Peoria is no great shakes, though - kinda blah in my opinion.

Just to expand on rankings, US News has Bradley as the #10 school in mechanical and the #3 school in industrial/manufacturing for BS/MS schools.
