<p>Does anyone have any good brainstorming methods for finding topics for college application essays? I read where one post that suggested writing a complete autobiography, but that hasn't helped me so far. Any other ideas?</p>
<p>Don’t write a complete autobiography. Think about smaller moments in your life that connect to your life as a whole. Brainstorm those important moments that vividly remain in your mind. If it helps, look at old photo album or talk to someone that inspires you. For me, that moment was overcoming my fear of public speaking during during a fourth grade creative writing prompt and choosing my own name, and how it has affected me.</p>
<p>Other than that, read some essays people have written in the past. It doesn’t have to be some huge mega moment, just something that you feel is unique and important to you</p>
