Please leave comments and advice!!!!!
I am premed...advice would be much appreciated!
Male, white, Jewish, will apply ED
legacy: my brother currently goes there :) and Made Deans List every semester so far!!!!!</p>

<p>Objective:
UW GPA: 3.56
W GPA: 4.3-4.4
ACT: 30, essay: 11
Top 10-15% of class
M1: 700
APs: Calculus AB (4) Calculus BC (WILL be a 5 with AB subscore 5 ;) )<br>
APUSH (4) AP Biology (TBD)
AP Euro (4) AP Literature (TBD)
AP Language (did not take exam)
All honors and AP courses (7 APs by senior year)</p>

<p>2 teacher recs: should be awesome!
1 guidance counselor rec: " " " !
1 rec letter from two Ph.Ds who I volunteered for in their university's medical school lab!</p>

<p>Subjective:
model UN (3 years)
--best delegate award
Math club--won honorable mentions in several national competitions
bio-medical club (4 years)--captain/head for 2 years
--we bring in guest speakers (doctors, nurses, etc.) to educate future health professionals
math lab tutor (3 years)
volunteered at a university medical school lab for one summer
school newspaper writer and editor (4 years)
write for the schools weekly publication and for the monthly science journal--editor in chief of medical section for one year (3 years total)
500+ hours community service at hospital
volunteered at organization for kids with special needs
published for research 2x
several writing awards for essay competitions</p>

<p>You should be able to get into Brandeis but your ACT conversion score seems too close to the bottom range of published SAT mid 50 score.</p>

<p>Why do you have a single school on the list? </p>

<p>Are your parents willing to pay for the hefty price tab?</p>

<p>I think you have a really good chance there. You ACT is in their middle 50 and you have good ECs and great service.</p>

<p>For Early Decision, you’re a high match. If you got your ACT above 32, you’d be a match/safety to get into Brandeis. </p>

<p>Shoot for a few other schools, too. One school is great (especially if it’s Brandeis) but you should have alternatives.</p>

<p>I think that it’s a high match for you, but only because of your ACT score. You might want to consider taking it again (of course, it’s not a bad score!). Otherwise, I believe that you could get in, particularly because your brother goes there!! Good luck :)</p>

<p>Wow! Your ECs are great! :slight_smile: If theres early decision I’d say your definitely in! Unfortunately Im not too familiar with the school but your gpa seems great and your act is good as well! On college board it seems your in with the criteria that they would look for! I would honestly say your a shoe in but I know how finicky college can be so theres never any 100%! Good luck! :)</p>

<p>I would think that you would get in. A 31 ACT can certainly be improved though, so I would retake it in the fall if you can. </p>

<p>It’s a match for you. I think Brandeis should be a base school in that I believe that you have chances at other schools as well. Good Job</p>

<p>You have a pretty solid match. I mean you’re right at the middle right now so you have a good chance of getting in. I believe that the extracurricular activities you have down will give you just the push you need to get past that middle bump though.</p>

I am taking it again in the fall hoping for a 31-32. Practicing all summer long with my 2 side jobs/volunteering.</p>

<p>If anything were to hold you back it would be your ACT. Other than that it is a match for sure</p>

<p>I agree with everyone else; high match at the moment based on your ACT score, but once you bring that up even a single point you’ll be looking at a match/even low match since your ECs are great and so career-focused. Best of luck!</p>
