Does anybody know how we will get informed about FA, will it be available online or do they mail it to you?

I received mine in mail the same day I got the acceptance letter. (About a week after). Hope that helps (x

I live abroad and it tales a long time for mail to get here so is there another way they can notify me.

NemoStudent, what general area do you live in of the US? I live super nearby to Brandeis, so I’m wondering if mine will take a shorter time to get here than yours. Super anxious to get my FA stuff because I really hope it will be affordable! :)

I live near Los Angeles, California. The acceptance online came on Wednesday and I received the letter on the following Monday or Tuesday (one of those days x3) . So, I bet you will get your FA info soon! (: Good luck and I hope its affordable for your family.

Was the financial aid in the ballpark of what you hoped/expected (does Brandeis come close to meeting the calculated need in needs grants vs. loans?

Any idea what is the typical amount of Presidential Scholarship award this year? We don’t qualify for need based aid. I may get Presidential Scholarship.

Not sure about the Presidential Scholarship, hopefully you find info! As for your question, tyranna, yes I believe so. It seems to be a stretch for my family, but that is what we expected. (in terms of the long run) Best of luck!

I just received a Presidential Scholarship to Brandeis yesterday - mine was for $10,000 a year. Hope that helps!

S got his FA letter yesterday in the mail. A generous $13.7k in scholarships. Good luck to all!

If we didn’t receive anything in our Brandeis folder does that mean we get no FA??

Just got the letter with Presidential Scholarship of $10,000 per year. Brandeis web site says it is $25,000. Probably they have a range and not sure what this year’s max award is. Even with 10K, it will cost another 40K per year and hence not decided yet.

My S also received a Presidential Scholarship of $10K and it was in his acceptance packet received a few days after the online notification. Yesterday he also received a letter that he is an alternate for the Lerman-Neubauer fellowship.

If Brandeis still needed financial information from me a few days before the decision, could it be that they were working on a aid package but haven’t completed it with the acceptance packet?

I could not find much about merit aid on the Brandeis website. Where is the presidential scholarship discussed? The merit aid on their site does not mention it.

Is the Presidential scholarship merit aid or financial aid? I thought Brandeis had phased out merit aid.

I learned from the website that Brandeis student will not be considered of financial aid later if they didn’t submit their application for aid with the admission application. Does anyone know whether it is true or not???

Mayday, where did you learn such a thing? Have you looked at Brandeis’ web site? It took me less than two minutes to find instructions for returning students who are applying for aid for the first time: [Applying for Assistance | Office of Student Financial Services | Brandeis University](http://www.brandeis.edu/sfs/finaid/apply-cont.html).

Now, I’ll admit I have no idea how generous Brandeis is in such cases. I imagine a lot of their budget for institutional aid for each class has already been allocated, so there may not be a lot left over in the coffers. But it’s clearly not true that they won’t consider a new application from a returning student.

Sikorsky, sorry, I did not make it clear, I remember this policy is to international student.
