If any part needs clarification, don’t hesitate to ask! Thanks!

are my ec’s going to be too weak?

you look very strong in most areas. some may say your SAT is below the Brandeis average, but my SAT was below yours and im writing to you from my Brandeis dorm. It looks like your ECs are a bit scattered. You seem to have spent your time in different activities rather than pursuing a few activities for longer periods of time, but nonetheless you have some meaningful ones. Id say you have an excellent chance if you applied ED. you would still have a good chance RD too. good luck

Also, I come from a high school with a large majority of indians. There are not many Indians at Brandeis, but there are some and I believe they have groups to celebrate Indian culture and holidays

Oh sweet! Yeah, my current SAT puts me at exactly the 25th percentile based on last years class, but hopefully my December scores are good. Thanks!

I think you have a real good chance! Honestly, I’m also a minority too and I felt that kind of help me get into Brandeis, since my stats weren’t as good as yours. I know Brandeis has a South Asian Student Association and I think the South Asian population here is pretty small but they’re pretty active, meaning they have big events like Mela.

oh cool, as long as theyre fairly active i guess it should be fine. but arnt indians considered over represented minorities, which actually hurts admission chances?

cuz i’ve read asians in general have weaker chances. does brandeis discriminate like this and would it decrease my chances?

Extra extra read all about it!
December scores are in!!!
Forget the other scores!

December 2010: 2000 (CR: 670 M: 670 W: 660)
(CR+M: 1340)

Updated chances anyone???

I’d say match.

With out current score, it’s a match.

With your*, I mean

Accepted :)
