Great interview.
@ProudWADad - yes, midyear programs are not that uncommon these days. My oldest son was offered a midyear spot at Binghamton and Brandeis three years ago. My youngest also was also offered the midyear today. Northeastern sells their spring program like itâs even better than starting in the fall as the students can start their fall semesters somewhere abroad like England or Spain! (or working in a coop/internship).
Someone on one of the other threads explained that itâs a way of the schools hedging their bets and guaranteeing that theyâre able to fill all the spots for the fall, by having some from spring they can move over if need be. Otherâs have said that itâs a way of offering a spot to a student that theyâre very interested in, but maybe didnât have a spot for originally and didnât want to waitlist them. I donât really know which is true, but it certainly seems to be a âthingâ these days.
Good luck - everyone has lots of decisions to make over the next few weeks!
Waitlisted. Hoping they take off 89 from the waitlist like they did a few years ago.

For those of you listing $$ amountsâare these merit fellowships only? Is information about need-based financial aid separate?
