Brandeis RD 2023

does anyone here know anything about the art department? I am undecided but I may lean to art. My other option is University of Richmond, so i want to choose the school with the most options I can choose from but also the one with the strongest art department for majors and minors

My son was waitlisted from Brandeis. He decided he didnā€™t want to wait till after May 1, and didnā€™t submit to continue. Today he got an email encouraging him to please continue. Is this customary? I know he had the stats to get in. This was 1 of 2 schools he was waitlisted, & the only 2 we didnā€™t get to visit due to time & location (both school s in Mass). His stats are 95 unweit=ghted, 103 weighted,
12 ap, 5 Cl, NMF, club leadership in 2 a a few clubs. also AP scholar a& will receive a capstone diploma.

@lovemycats - looks like our students applied to some of the same schools (I just read one of your posts on Bing!) I think they may continue to correspond even after a student has declined their spot. My son was offered Spring admission but wants to start this fall, so he sent them an email declining, but still received an email a couple of days ago reminding him to register by May 1st.

Mine still has two more schools to revisit and then he needs to make a decision. Canā€™t wait for this to be over!

@familyfromLI oh Iā€™m so with you on wanting this over.
It has been a very long process. We are going to 1 more
School then hopefully decions. I think he is leaning with
Binghamton. What about you.

@lovemycats - Iā€™ve no idea as my son plays his cards very close to his chest! He attended the FRI presentation at Bing this past weekend and so now with these last 2 admitted student events this weekend, Iā€™m hoping to have a final decision. Heā€™d better not wait til April 30th!

@familyfromLI I fully understand that. Itā€™s like pulling teeth
To get my sons thoughts. Mine is in the Scholars program
At Binghamton. It looks very good for him, but not sure heā€™ll
Do it. FRI also sounds very good.

@lovemycats - Letā€™s hope for both our sakes we get this over with painlessly and FAST

Congrats to all who were accepted! My S is at Brandeis and is very happy. I have to admit that, in fall of Senior year, I never would have guessed that he would end up there. I highly recommend a revisit day this Spring. Meeting current students and professors won him over.
