Do Brandeis Scholarships, such as the Wien Scholarship, require extra application and essay? This is not stated on any part of the website.

have you looked at this information? International Applicants

if you still have questions, you are really best off contacting brandeis -- its too important not to get the right info and they are the ones who are going to be best able to answer your questions. Here is link to contact info for Wien -- | Wien International Scholarship Program | Brandeis University you can also look at other links there for other info about wien if you haven't already.

for any non-international students reading this post though -- i'll also refer you to this page -- Brandeis Admissions | Costs/Financial Aid | Scholarships
VERY IMPORTANT - to be considered for merit at brandeis, you must complete CSS/Profile even if you are not applying for need based aid. and under the description for the Bernstein scholarship it says it is the only scholarship that requires a separate application.

BUT again -- with respect to international applicants - read the web page for internationals and contact brandeis if you need more info.

i did contact the admissions office, and the reply is simply what's already there on the website (which does not say whether any separate application is needed or not)

:(

In general Brandeis merit scholarships do not require any separate documentation or essay. They are awarded as part of the application review process. However, in order to be considered for any merit scholarship you MUST apply for financial aid, as stated in the previous post.

I see. Thank you!
