I'm a freshman at Brandeis. Although I'm generally happy here, I've been increasingly nervous about my major/career and that sort of stuff. I think I might want to go in the communications field, marketing or public relations, that sort of stuff... but I really can't say. Brandeis doesn't offer much in that field; it does has a journalism major and a business major though.

My parents are pushing me to transfer to Binghamton because it's a bigger school with more options and does have a major in managment with a focus on marketing. It's also a lot more affordable.

Their argument is that why blow $$$$ amount on an expensive school that doesn't have your major, or even if I could take either journalism/business or make my own major there, why do it at a school that isn't relatively well known for it? Financially, it doesn't make sense.

I'm not sure of my chances actually because my GPA is rather low (3.0) and for the fact that I'll probably have lots of catching up to do if I want to graduate within 4 years because Bing has quite a few requirements.

What do you guys think?
