I received the MLK scholarship today. It covers all costs at Brandeis. Has anybody else received this scholarship? I heard that it only goes out to about 10 students every year. This has pushed Brandeis to my top choice. Just waiting for the Ivies on the 31st.
@bedfordchild woah thats so good! congratulations I got the presidential scholarship of 15k per year.
If you set up that account, it can take up to 24 hours to access the FA. We set ours up earlier today and just got our son’s FA award. FA letters were mailed on Wednesday (I asked earlier today about both issues). Alumni and friends scholarship is very nice, but it’s still more expensive than I was hoping (with two in college), even for just a semester (midyear admit). Makes me concerned about what the offer will be next year.
How do you set up this account!?
Instructions are on the page where your update is for acceptance. It’s a Brandeis Community Account. Once you get into the actual account, you’ll see financial aid on the right. If it gives you a system error, just wait a few hours and try again. Ours was ready after about 8 hours. They said it could take 24 hours.
My kid received notification today (west coast) of being a Justice Brandeis Scholar! This helps keep Brandeis an option!!
I’ve literally looked everywhere and cannot for the life of me find out where to make a community account!??!
@jamesjunkers it’s just the exact same link I used to see if I was accepted on the portal.
So D2 set up the SAGE account and finally got to the financial aid page which has no info (we didn’t apply for financial aid). Nothing in snail mail–BUT she got an email inviting her to a reception for Brandeis Scholars during admitted students day…guess we’ll call if we don’t hear anything Monday.
@jamesjunkers Go to your Brandeis DEISconnect account (where you checked your application status and such). Go to the part that says: “Status Update
An update to your application was last posted March 19, 2015.
View Update >>”
Click on View Update, and it will tell you how to set up your sage account.
@lavalamp97, yeah… Mine doesn’t mention a sage account…
@jamesjunkers What does it say? That’s so weird. For me it has a list of instructions on how to set up an account.

How to create your Brandeis Community Account
The first step to learning about the Brandeis community is to join the Brandeis virtual community. By signing up for a Brandeis Username, you have access to a multitude of campus resources. You will be able to: •Choose your own “Brandeis” e-mail address
•Complete an Academic Advising Questionnaire
•Access your Financial Services Student Account and assign a Billing Proxy
•Navigate all our online library resources
•Monitor your progress toward completing your degree
- Visit https://identity.brandeis.edu and click on the “Create an official staff/faculty/student account” link.
- In the “Identification” section, please enter your first and last name as they appear at the top of this page, and check the radio button that says you are an incoming student.
- In the “ID Verification” section, please enter your SAGE student ID number provided to you at the top of this page, then click “Submit.”
- Please select a Brandeis Username and click “Submit”. Remember, once you establish a Brandeis Username, this username becomes part of your Brandeis e-mail address and you will keep the same e-mail address during your entire academic career. Because all Brandeis students and staff have a Brandeis Username, your first choice may not be available.
- After you have carefully read the Brandeis University Computer Policy, please signify your acceptance of these terms by clicking “I have read the Brandeis Computer Policy and agree to its terms and conditions.”
- In the “Password” section, enter your password.
- As an additional security feature, select a question and the answer to the question in the “Forgotten Password Challenge Question and Answer” section. If you do not do this, you will not be able to reset your password on-line if you forget it. Click “Submit.”
- Log into SAGE at https://sage.brandeis.edu with your newly-created username and password.
- To assign a financial proxy, click on “Finances,” then, “Add or Delete Proxy.” Please remember to click “Save” after modifying your financial proxy.
Yeah, I don’t have any of that… I’m just gonna click on the link and do it myself to see what a happens
Well actually I can’t do it because I didn’t know have a sage Id and it won’t create one for me, oh well
Should merit awards be visible on SAGE, too, or just financial aid ?
Accepted, also accepted into Leadership & Health Leader-Scholar Community program and offered Presidential Scholarship.
2000 SAT, 3.8 UW, 4.3 W GPA. Hispanic Female and first gen. college student. Had a decent course load, and a decent essay.
@notest, merit awards do not seem to be visible on SAGE if you are not getting financial aid.
So we figured out the mystery of the missing scholarship info–D2’s admission letter was sent home, but the scholarship letter was sent to her at boarding school, and she forgot to check her mailbox! Justice Brandeis Scholar.
Hi guys, I am also accepted into Brandeis. And they also accept me for a 5-year dual degree program with BA/MA in international economics and finance. I don’t know if this is a good program. Should I accept this 5-year program or just take regular undergraduate major in economics? Can anyone help me with this please?
Set up my SAGE account yesterday, and still cannot view financial aid – anyone else have an issue with this / how long is it supposed to take?
Hey anyone waitlisted here and still waiting like me? And anyone who has been waitlisted and got accepted? Lol
