^Same (about the FA). How soon will financial aid info arrive? I was accepted, but my parents won’t fill out the net price calculator, so I have absolutely no idea if it’s affordable or not.
Accepted! Don’t forget to post your results here:

I wouldn’t read anything bad into the mid-year acceptance. The Brandeis admissions web page says that about 10 percent of the admitted students are admitted mid-year. I think they even have special programs for that first semester.
Accepted! I feel so lucky. I thought I had no chance
Accepted!!!
Got accepted
Accepted! but waitlisted at Boston College… I’m happy/sad right now
Do you guys know if Brandeis offers merit aid? And if so, do you know when we’ll find out about it?
@aydee115 - I’ve heard that the merit letters arrive by snail mail about a week later.
My son won’t be home until 8 and it’s killing me to wait for him to get home and check!
Brandeis was my worst interview, so I guess that didn’t matter that much…
@patriots63 and @OKlivy Do not be upset by getting accepted into the midyear class. I know it may feel like they are teasing you with getting admitted. Unlike some of the ivies and schools like northeastern, being a midyear is actually not the step before rejection. I had a 32 ACT and 3.95 gpa as well as a strong essay and stuff and i got accepted as a midyear last year. Do not let people tell you/make you feel like you “almost got rejected”. You aren’t a midyear becaue you did not have high enough SAT scores at Brandeis. It isnt easy to come into a school mid year, so they saw something in your application that suggested you would be able to do such. Brandeis lacks housing severely, and to compensate Midyears live where JRs who are studying abroad (which is much better than regular freshman housing). All this aside im sure, and I understand that you are confused because I was too. But as a person who just went through the process of having a gap semester and starting in january i can say it was amazing. Having a semester to myself was amazing. You can do an abroad program through brandeis if you like, take classes at a local college, or just work a part time job and enjoy time off from school. You can graduate college in 3.5 years. So clearly they saw something in you that made them think you could graduate in 3.5 years. Having the entire summer and fall was really amazing. I would not change being a midyear even if I could. I have great friends both midyear and not. Do not let being a midyear sway your choice to be at Brandeis. If you like Brandeis then go, it is worth it. Congrats on your acceptances

Thanks @Isabelle99 , I have a lot of decisions to make within the next month and this just adds on another layer of fear/confusion on top of it, but it was really nice to hear from someone who has been through the process. Just out of curiosity, how did you spend your semester? If I do decide to go to Brandeis, I’m thinking of going abroad… Anyway, thanks for the reassurance. Brandeis is a great school and I’m really happy to have been accepted
