I got into both and I don’t know what to do, they are both very different and similar at the same time!! I want to do a double major in econ and IGS (which is IR in BU), both offer similiar study abroad and internship opportunities. My major concerns about Brandeis is that there is a vast majority of jewish alumni, I am right now in the edge of atheism, so it worries me how jewish costums affects everyday life at Brandeis. Also I’ve heard social life is pretty mediocre, its not like I
m a party animal but I like drinkind a couple of beers and hanging out. A great advantage of Brandeis is that I can apply for a merit scholarship but I would like to know how hard is it to get it ( what’s the min GPA? ) After college I am planning going to Kennedy grad school at Harvard, is it very commonfor Brandesians? PLEASE HELP ME!!!
You don’t “apply” for a merit scholarship at Brandeis. They give a small number every year to those who they’ve selected. If they didn’t award you one with your admissions… you didn’t get one.
Are you aware that the vast majorty of the students at Kennedy enter years after graduating college and that your experience after college will be more important than where you went to school? Also, I think zeroing in on a specfic graduate school whilst still in HS is pretty foolish.
This is a non-issue. Plus, there are more Jewish students at BU than at Brandeis.
To answer your original question… Brandeis, no question about it.
