Brandeis vs. BU

Hey guys,

I have narrowed down my two choices to Brandeis and BU, but I am having a really tough time choosing between these two schools.

Brandeis: I was admitted as a mid year, which means I start in January. I was also admitted into the International Business Scholar program, where I can get my bachelors and masters in 5 years instead of 6.

BU: I was admitted into the College of General Studies where I would need to complete two years of core curriculum first before I can go into Questrom School of Business.

I do want to pursue a business degree at both schools, so any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

Brandeis… you will have a better college experience at Brandeis.

Brandeis is stronger academically but BU will give you more of a social life

(I go to Deis)

A few comments:
–There are many differences and only you know what is the better environment for you – the size of school is different, one has a traditional campus the other doesn’t, city v suburbs to name a few.
–You would have to research the chance of getting onto the b-school from the College of General Studies.
–You should compare the curriculum of the two programs (should be available online) and see if one is preferable.
–FWIW my friend’s D was a spring admit to Brandeis and she did a first semester program abroad with the school and it worked out well for her.

@41whiskers - could you explain more what you mean about Brandeis’s social life? I’ve heard it’s not a crazy party type school, but are there social gatherings?
