Brandeis vs McGill

Which one is better in terms of:

Prestige
Employment opportunities after graduation
Quality of education (Economics and Politics)
Internships during college years

Are you planning to work/live in Canada or the US?

McGill in all of them.

I am an international, so its basically all same to me.

up.........

I prefer Brandeis. It's near Boston...and Boston is Suh-weeet. It's a pretty intellectual environment there, too. McGill is cheaper though. And it's like the "Harvard of Canada." But I've heard the administration is very inpersonal and it was listed on PR's list of schools with "Long lines and red tape."

The OP should keep in mind that Brandeis is a predominately Jewish school, and the majority culture/discourse is Jewish, whereas McGill is very diverse.

And whereas Brandeis is near Boston (in the suburb of Waltham, which is no college town), McGill is in downtown Montreal, a vibrant, creative, student-filled, and very cheap city that speaks two languages and has a plethora of immigrant neighborhoods.

I would argue McGill is more "open to the world" in general than Brandies.

It's true that Brandeis is in a suburb, but for some people, that is a positive. Some people, like me, want to have a "real, safe, park-like campus." Plus, it is so easy to get into Boston, that you kind of the best of both worlds in that you enjoy a beautiful, suburban campus, without sacrificing access to a bustling city, that has the largest number of college students in the world, per capita.

I'm very sure that Brandeis is a prestigious school with solid economics (the most popular major) and politics departments. You will find incredible internships, given that Boston is right there. And, after college, many employers will be very impressed with your undergraduate degree.

I'm not that familiar with McGill, so I won't say, like Sam Lee did for McGilll, that Brandeis is "better" in all four categories, but I'll advise you to visit both places, read up on the schools and, if possible, find someone who is equally familiar with both schools, in order to get the most complete answer to your question.

wOOt Jews. sorry.
i prefer brandeis..but i'd say theyre pretty equal
