<p>Which one do you think it's better ( social life, diversity, Pre-med)? I don't care much about the weather. But, as I know, they have the same ranking in U.S. News " America Best Colleges".</p>

<p>Brandeis is better for pre-med as it is strong in the sciences. Both are pretty lousy with diversity. I can't comment on social life.</p>
<p>Both are pretty much the same other than that I'd say Brandeis has a very slight edge on the premed quality. Brandeis has a huge jewish population however. The general consensus on social life is that they're both lacking and isolated from civilization.</p>
<p>Both schools have good pre-med programs...youre not going to suffer if you choose one over the other.</p>
<p>Brandeis has really good premed. They have a very high acceptance rate and it's a very difficult program.</p>
<p>I think Brandeis is more intellectual typish and its not half as isolated as Rochester. Brandeis is in the Boston suburbs, Waltham.</p>

<p>I would say U Rochester offers better pre-med preparation. The health careers advising at U of R is very active and supportive. U Rochester has a top-20 medical school and nationally recognized hospital adjacent to the campus. There are opportunities to get advice from the medical school admissions office, for research and clinical experience, volunteerism, and so on. Pre-meds have a high rate of acceptance to med school. U of R has a special program that guarantees admission to the med school to top undergrads. They a new biomedical engineering building and a new medical research building. U Rochester is very strong in sciences.</p>
<p>The U Rochester is very much an intellectual campus. Rochester has an active cultural scene and is home to the top music conservatory in America, the Eastman.</p>

<p>I am clear that Brandeis is in the well to do Boston suburbs, but please describe the locale in which U R resides. If memory serves, I thought I saw a picture w/ a caption of something 5th av. Is UR in NYC? Is it the same famous 5th av?</p>
