So from the way things are looking out, I will be finishing my degree by the end of my Fall 2014 semester. Then, I will go back to my school in the spring of 2015 and attend graduation. I am then going to graduate school in the Fall of 2015.

Basically, this leaves me with about 9 months free from school. What am I supposed to do with all this freedom.

I might have a part time job, not sure yet. But, what else can I do with all this time?

Work. Find a job, get an internship, do research. Earn some money and save for graduate school. If money is a non-issue, than you’re open to other options. You could travel, since you likely won’t have the opportunity for a while, or volunteer. Or you could do some combination of all of the above.

I recommend working or doing something that will prepare your for graduate school or work in your field.

Definitely work-you can make a lot of money part-time in 9 months. Or you could work for 5 months and travel for four (save up money for the traveling?)

IDK if you’ve started applying yet, but if you havn’t look for internships in your chosen field and try to get one. You should fill your free time with relevant work experience if possible. If you already have plenty of internships, then you could consider taking it easy, and enjoying the 9 months of exploring something that you’ve always wanted to do.

I would say work in a field relevant to your major (basically some type of paid internship). You will probably need the experience so you can be attractive for employers post-graduation and you will need the money to help sustain you during grad school.

Then I would say travel! Those good student travel rates won’t last forever! Honestly, this sounds like the perfect window to travel a couple places.
