Because of this thread and every kid in my class, I decided to jump on the bandwagon.

Last night I saw the first 2 episodes of Season 1.

The show completely depressed me. I mean, this dude finds out he’s gonna die, he doesn’t tell his family or his wife, his son has a disability, he ends up killing a dude and has to kill the other one… then the other idiot pours the acid into the tub, practically mutilating the dead body… and then all the body parts fall through the roof. oh god, so horrific.

I just stop and think about how much it would suck to be that dude, and how much it would suck to be in his situation.

Bottom line —> this show depresses me. I’m going to watch a couple more episodes, but if it keeps depressing me, I’m out. lol

^Haha, you might not wanna watch the end of season 2 then, just saying. The two do get into some horrible situations but you just gotta learn to think of it as entertainment and not real, I guess. Btw, you might wanna give your post a spoiler alert for those that haven’t watched yet.

Divad, I skimmed over your post and realized you probably posted a spoiler. I hate spoilers, so I made sure to only skim your post haha

but yeah I might keep watching this show if I get time, but it’s so gruesome and depressing. I don’t understand how people actually like it

It’s art. It’s about Walter’s descent into darkness and the moral grey areas of life. You have all of these relatively normal characters who are greatly affected by Walter’s actions.

And it’s really, really well done. The writing and execution of each season and episode is the best I’ve seen of any television show.

So, if you’re looking to be blown away, keep watching. If you want something light-hearted, stay away. Breaking Bad is not a sitcom.
