Breaking into I-Banking from Boston College?

Would I be able to break into i-banking with an undergraduate degree (Economics major) from Boston College? Not from CSOM, from BC itself. The reason I ask is because I could probably go there for much cheaper than I could go to Duke/Columbia/etc. for. The money I save could then go to a more prestigious MBA program. Additionally, I also might be able to achieve a higher GPA at BC than at an Ivy. I know the elite schools are recruited heavily but could I break in from BC?

anything is possible. You would have to network a ton though. I would go to a target school. MBA is minimum 6 years away. Worry about getting into ib first, and your best shot would be at a target school

BC has an incredibly loyal wall street alumni, and its very well organized, helpful and powerful. You would not have to “network a ton”. You would have to keep a high gpa and make yourself known to the career office from the early stages(just dont be annoying to them).
It is true that if a firm does not recruit on campus, its much harder to get into it during this pretty dismal time for wall street. But, if you have a chance at Duke/Columbia, I wouldnt think twice about anything else.
