Brick vs Concrete

Quaint, Harvard-style brick is prettier, but in many ways I prefer big "ugly" concrete buildings, if matched with a dynamic, exciting atmosphere. I go to a school that's all about big ugly concrete and a rather industrial look, and it feels alive.

In either case, I like buildings where there's more to them than meets the eye, for those who care to find it. Wellesley, for instance, feels more quaint and static than interesting and dynamic to me at first glance (in terms of buildings), but I'm sure that anyone who goes there could tell you all about their amazing underground system of steam tunnels.
