<p>Does it matter if one's writing style differs in the two pieces of submitted writing to a school?</p>
<p>If one essay is conventional and solemn and one is witty and risky, for example, to the point that it almost seems as if two different people wrote them, does this signal some sort of lack of focus, the ability to write in a variety of ways, some happy medium, or none of the above?</p>
<p>Not really an issue, I'm just curious.</p>
