Okay, so I'm one of those extremely low gpa applicant with a decent/high sat/act score.
WGPA 10-11: 3.5
WGPA 10-12 (1st semester): 3.75
ACT: 32-->E: 30 M: 33 R: 33
I definitely have a slight upward grade trend. I took 6 AP classes 10-11 grade with Math 150/151
12th grade I have 2 AP's and 2 college classes (Linear Alg/Discrete Math and Political Science)

I have around 1500+ hours of volunteer/community service and EC's.
I got a supplemental Questionaire from UCI, which means I'm on the borderline. You think I can get in?

I did the Discover Engineering class at USC over the summer and got an A in the class. Would that help my chances at USC?

I don’t think my EC’s/ CS’s are incredible but:
Founder of Peer Tutoring Organization in school: we have like over 60 people who come each session
Founder of Local Chess Club: We teach a small pool of around 15 students
Coached Soccer in Military community: I coached 8-10 age groups for 5 seasons
Tutor in military community: Ive been tutoring math in there for 2 years.
Soccer referee in military community: ref’d the 12+ group for 5 seasons (it was hard coaching and ref’ing at the same time)
Science and Engineering Festival: I was a judge
President of School Chess Club
President of Table Tennis Club
UCSD Young Physicist Program
Sci Oly: 4th place region for tower
Bunch of other clubs which I’m not in any leadership positions.
I just did those of which I listed for 2-3 years.

And with UCI, if I managed to submit only my Mid-year grades and not the essay questions, am I okay?

And then there’s that USC Summer Program I did for a month at USC (dormed there).

Again, they aren’t spectacular, but it’s a lot of time and effort.

My unweighted GPA (10-11) is a 2.8 sadly (junior year like 3 C’s, but 2nd semester they turned to B’s) For the College classes, I’ve only gotten an A and B’s.

Since you got the questionnaire, I think it all depends on what you put on it, which no one here knows so I can’t give you an accurate chance. If you did well on it, you will get in. If you did not, then you will not. Good luck!

With you having an unweighted 9-11 GPA of < 2.8 and USC’s average accepted student having an unweighted 9-11 GPA of** 3.8**, I am afraid USC is a very, very high reach for you. (I do not think the poster in #15 understands the term, “match”).
