I’ll be a freshman starting in the fall. When it’s nice out, I like to ride my bike around my suburban hometown to school, friends’ houses, and some errands. I’d like to bring my bike to Nova, but I’m curious if I’ll ever have use for it? Anywhere on campus seems like a 5 minute walk from the South dorms, so biking doesn’t seem advantageous. Are there enough sidewalks or routes for bikes to get around town for food or to the off-campus housing? I’m not too concerned about having my bike stolen, it was built in 1984 and I’ve done some work on it as a hobby but it’s definitely not worth much nor would I think it “attractive” to any thieves.
Thank you, and GO CATS!
@sweendog I don’t think you can go wrong with bringing your bike. I do know, the main line is quite busy and the road is narrow with inconsistent sidewalks. But, the surrounding residential area is very nice. My S has walked to town before but it’s a decent walk. The bike may be a good idea for you. Congrats on your acceptance! Welcome to Nova nation!
