<p>My brothers are helping me build a desktop and I have recently ordered a new Chromebook. I enjoy playing some games and watching movies online which is why I thought a desktop would better suit those needs. I also wanted something light to take to class. I was wondering if other people have done something similar and found it beneficial.</p>
<p>My S took a desktop for the last school year. He used it mostly as a DVR, and the 27" display as his TV and a monitor for his Xbox. He didn’t use it much as an actual computer for productivity because he also had a laptop, but if you can get multiple usage scenarios from it, I would say it is worth it. He is going to try a laptop as his only computer and a Tivo this year. We will see how it goes.</p>
