Bringing resumes to interviews?

I've heard that generally bringing a resume to college interviews is recommended, even if it's not required.

But what if your interviewer says "you don't need to bring a resume; it will be really casual." It sounded like he was discouraging bringing a resume, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

And for the interviews that do allow resums, should this resume include test scores and GPA though? For example, Yale's "AdmissionsAddict" on CC says not to; I was wondering what the general consensus is.

Thanks!

I like to bring a notebook/folder with the resume tucked in a pocket. That way if they ask you are prepared, otherwise it is hidden. I also like to have a couple of questions written down and if I totally blank out, I can take a quick look to remind me. I think it is easier to leave test scores and GPA off for the casual interview.
