Bringing up my GPA

I am going to be a senior my GPA is about an 82 and I tackled some nice amount of classes for my 1st semester, they aren’t too hard either. Can I bring up my GPA with my senior classes in enough time for college applications and colleges to see how I do? Thanks.

What do you mean by 82?

82 average so i guess you can say 3.0?

@Iamsobusynow

College only look at your freshmen, sophomore, and junior grades. Mostly, they focus on sophomore and junior because they understand that the transition from middle school to high school is complicated. There isn’t a way to get your senior grades since college applications open before the semester ends, unless your high school does it some other ways. A 3.0 will probably get you to state university, but I doubt the universities will accept(sorry if I sound mean). Universities might accept if you have done a lot of community services and leadership positions or have extremely good personal statements.

@Iamsobusynow is patently incorrect – they look at all 7 semesters if you apply regular decision. If you apply early action or early decision or rolling, they will then look at your first six semseter. In most circumstances, you must submit your transcript which includes your 7th semester grades. Frankly these, plus your 11th grade marks, carry the MOST weight. Can you boost your GPA? It’s possible. For instance,you have avg 82 for six semesters. If you get 100 in your 7th semester, your GPA goes like this:

6 x 82 = 492
492 + 100 = 592
592 ÷ 7 = 84.6

Hit a 100 and your GPA rises to 84.6.

An 84.6 is still a B. That’s the best you can do. Don’t allow your grades to slip, and try to do the best you can, but don’t expect your admissions prospects to change in any meaningful way.
