Ph.D. University of California at Berkeley in Political Science
Current research concerns the influence of information and framing in competitive electoral contexts. He has received the Riker Prize, APSA’s Franklin L. Burdette Award and the Pi Sigma Alpha Prize. He comes to SC from Northwestern.</p>
<p>Dr. Andrew Coe
Assistant Professor of International Relations
Ph.D. from Harvard University in Political Science
Dr. Coe studies the working of strategic interaction involved in nuclear proliferation. He was the recipient of the Stanton Nuclear Security Fellowship for 2012-13.</p>
<p>Dr. Anant Nyshadham
Assistant Professor of Economics
Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University 2013
His research interests are in development, applied econometrics and labor. His honors include the Yale University Dissertation, Sasakawa Young Leader Award, Falk Fellowship and the Association of Yale Alumni Fellowship. He was a Wharton and a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.</p>
<p>Dr. Sabin Cautis
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Ph.D. in Mathematics from Harvard University
He has interests in algebraic geometry. He is the recipient of a Sloan Fellowship and a Harvard Putnam Fellowship. He has also received grants from the National Science Foundation. He comes to SC from Rice University.</p>
<p>In the Dornsife School of Letters, Arts and Sciences another Oxford scholar will join the faculty. Professor Jonathan Quong will be the Associate Professor of Philosophy.</p>

Associate Professor of Philosophy
Ph.D in Politics from Oxford University</p>
<p>Dr. Quong is the author of “Liberalism Without Perfection”. He has written on topics including public reason, democratic theory and distributive justice. Professor Quong held visiting fellowshps at Australian National University and Princeton University. In 2012 he held a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship.</p>

<p>Dr. Hawthorn is now Professor of Philosophy at Dornsife. He had previously shared his time at Oxford and SC. He continues to be a prolific writer and has four books published recently including “The Reference Book” with David Manley in 2012.</p>

<p>Dr. Erman is an assistant professor of law at Gould. He came to SC from the Smithsonian Institution. He was also a visiting professor at Peking University. Dr. Erman has been a prolific writer and has earned various honors. He was a Legal History Fellow at Harvard. He also clerked for Judges Paul Stevens and Anthony Kennedy.</p>
